Universal Studios Orlando during the Christmas Holiday so I was eager to check it out this past Saturday. I knew they had a lot of special events planned such as the Grinchmas show, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the part I was by far the most excited about was Mannheim Steamroller!
Fahoo Fores Dahoo Dores Welcome Christmas, Christmas Day. These song lyrics will be in your head the entire day after visiting the live Grinchmas show at Universal Studios Islands Of Adventure. The set and costumes are worth standing in line to see however the Grinch is definitely the star of the show. You’ll be treated to a shortened version of the original How The Grinch Stole Christmas with all the characters you know and love, including Max the dog!
Do you sit around on the couch every Thanksgiving with your children watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade? I know that a lot of people wish they could visit the parade but for a number of reasons they are unable. Now guests have the chance to see the Macy’s Holiday Parade on Universal Orlando’s very own streets! Balloons such as Scooby Doo, Curious George and Garfield line the streets and many other balloons are pulled along during the parade. You’d be surprised at the size of these balloons! There is also dancers, cheerleaders, characters and even stilt walkers providing entertainment in between balloons and floats. Try to grab a seat near the mock Macy’s in front of the large Christmas tree because Santa will make a special stop there and light the tree!
Mannheim Steamroller are the masters of Christmas music. You don’t need to “see” the 
Steamroller because you “feel” the Steamroller. This is what I kept telling Spencer when he complained he could not see. It was quickly made apparent that I was correct. Their music is powerful and compelling. On December 11th and 18th they will be their performing and also providing the music for the Grinch Who Stole Christmas reading at Universal Orlando. Actual actors from the Grinchmas show at Islands of Adventure provide their voice (out of costume) for a heartwarming show that people of all ages are sure to love. Don’t worry about where you stand because they have a large screen up to the right so you can see! This is a can’t miss opportunity and I highly recommend buying tickets now for these days.
At the end of a very busy day do yourself a favor and book a night at a Universal property hotel. The Royal Pacific Resort, Orlando is a Hawaiin recreation sure to appeal to all ages!
